Awesome zozi Experience of the Week: A Go Kart That Flys?
Its Saturday morning, and you’re torn equally between going go karting or skydiving. You’re craving some adrenaline and thrill. Then genius strikes: how about combining the two…?
Wait, how exactly does that work? Introducing: the paraplane flight.
With this Los Angeles zozi experience, imagine a chair harnessed to a parachute and powered by a motor, propelling you gently through the air as an FAA-certified flight instructor navigates. It’s heart-pumping, thrilling, and downright gorgeous all rolled into one and with this experience from Inland Paraflite, take a half hour flight to discover what it’s all about.
You’ll learn your flight mojo from Chief Flight Instructor Phil Dietro (who has mere 20 years of flight experience under his belt) of Inland Paraflite, one of the most experienced flight training centers in the USA today.
Starting the day off early, you’ll likely meet your pilot in Victorville, a small town smack in the middle of Apply Valley’s breathtakingly gorgeous high desert terrain. In the half-hour discovery flight, you will receive the required FAA safety briefing, be taken aloft in the Powrachute Pegasus 2 place light sport aircraft that is equipped with full dual controls. Once you reach cruising altitude, you’ll be able to take the controls and fly the paraplane yourself as head honcho pilot (flying googles not included). You’ll feel how she steers, learn how to climb, descend and make nice smooth turns as you and Phil fly off into the early morning sky of the high desert.
Grab your camera for pictures, and if you fall in love with it, you can always sign on to learn to pilot a paraplane yourself. On your journey you’ll be flying many thousands of feet up in the air, seeing for many miles in all directions while you seem to hardly move at all.
Your magic carpet ride awaits. Hop on.
